Dennis G. Whelan joined Slowiaczek Albers in 2017 and became a partner in January 2019. His practice focuses on helping individuals through contentious divorce actions, custody disputes, division of marital estates, and defending individuals facing criminal charges.
Mr. Whelan is a knowledgeable and skilled attorney with a vast understanding of family law and criminal defense. He has proven himself as an effective litigator and negotiator, including successfully arguing before the Nebraska Supreme Court and Nebraska Court of Appeals and regularly representing clients at trials and hearings. Dennis is a lifelong Omaha resident who graduated with a Bachelors of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Nebraska at Omaha in 2009. He received his Juris Doctor degree in 2012 from Creighton University. Dennis is a graduate of the 2018 American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers Institute for Family Law Associates. Dennis is also a contributor to the 2019 Nebraska Family Law Practice Manual.
