Patricia Kelley

Patricia C. Kelley is a paralegal with the firm and has 40 years of legal experience. Patti’s primary focus is family law and litigation. She works closely with clients and guides them through the process. Patti manages cases; drafts pleadings and documents; coordinates with opposing counsel and the courts; manages discovery; and prepares for and assists at depositions, hearings, and trials. Her attention to detail, knowledge of family law and rapport with clients make her an integral member of our team.

Ms. Kelley is also a mediator, specializing in family law and high conflict cases. She has been a mediator with the Douglas County District Court since 1999 and is an approved Parenting Act Mediator with the State of Nebraska’s Office of Dispute Resolution. Patti works with parents in divorce and paternity cases to develop Parenting Plans to resolve custody, parenting time schedules, and other parenting issues.

Patti is a frequent speaker at educational seminars, paralegal programs, and colleges on the subjects of paralegal and mediation skills and practice. She also works with mediation training programs to coach individuals during their training.

Patti has served on the Board of Directors of the Nebraska Mediation Association and chaired the annual continuing education conference for many years. She has served on numerous committees, including the apprenticeship and training committees and was named the Nebraska Mediation Association’s 2016 Outstanding Member.
