Scott V. Hahn

Scott joined the experienced team of family law experts at Slowiaczek Albers and Whelan in November 2023. He brings more than 15 years of litigation experience in family law cases to the firm. Such cases in which Scott has represented clients include divorce, paternity and custody, modifications, and collaborative divorce matters.

Scott has written multiple briefs heard before the Nebraska Supreme Court and the Nebraska Court of Appeals on behalf of his clients. He is very proud of the feedback received from those who know his legal work best – his clients – on his Avvo page and other online sources.

He is the previous chairman of the Nebraska Bar Association’s Subcommittee on Limited Scope Representation, and recipient of the Omaha Bar Association’s Champions of Law Award for contributions in Education. Scott's work on the Nebraska Limited Scope Representation Toolkit has been showcased on the Nebraska Supreme Court's website for pro se litigants. You can find Scott's work entitled "The Do's and Don'ts of Limited Scope Representation" in the Nebraska State Bar Association's 2019 Family Law Manual. He recently was selected as a member of the Judicial Nominating Commission for the Nebraska Court of Appeals, 2nd District.

When not practicing law or volunteering in his various organizations, Scott enjoys writing poetry, horseback riding, long walks, and studying Stoic philosophy.
